Welcome to PYUMC! We are glad you are joining us!

Before you visit one of our services, we recognize you may have some questions. We hope to answer some of those here for you.

What time does the service begin?

Our Contemporary Service begins at 9:00am and we also have our Traditional Service available at 11:00am.

Where do I go when I walk in?

If you are attending our contemporary service you will come in the main entrance from the parking lot and take the stairs down to Fellowship Hall. Feel free to come early and grab a cup of coffee at our cafe!

If you are attending our Traditional Service you will come in the main entrance from the parking lot and take the stairs up to the Sanctuary. You can also access the Sanctuary from the Main Street entrance at the main steps.

Handicap Accessibility

Accessible parking is available in the main parking lot of the church. There is a covered ramp located at the end of our Sunday school wing and just inside the building is a lift to access Fellowship Hall. Instructions for operation are posted and it is very easy to access and use. There are handicap accessible restrooms on both floors of the church and hall. Where do my children go?

We offer programming for all ages at PYUMC.

For ages infant to 3 years old we offer child care Sundays from 8:45am-12:15pm. Our nursery is upstairs in the Sunday school wing. You access the building from the main entrance off the parking lot and take the stairs up to the Sanctuary area where you will turn left to Peek Chapel to access the classrooms.

For children in preschool through 5th grade, we offer an exciting Children’s Ministry on Sundays at 9:15am during the school year. Children will start the morning at the Contemporary service and will get together with group leaders to go to the classrooms upstairs.

For youth 6th grade through 12th grade we offer youth programs and activities throughout the year.

How long is the service?

Our typical service lasts about 1 hour.

What is a service like?

A typical service is a combination of music, teaching, and prayer, all seeking to glorify Jesus Christ. Going to a new place can be intimidating, but we hope you will feel welcomed and loved by the community of PYUMC.

What should I wear?

We don’t mind at all what you wear! That said, it may be helpful for you to know what most people wear for church. Most people dress fairly casually, while some wear their “Sunday best”, it is common to see shorts and sandals in the summer season.
